I will be offering a six week sewing class for those who are just learning to sew and for those who would like to improve their sewing abilities. This is open to the young (12 years of age and older) and the young at heart (adults). Since it is summer and many are working around vacations, you are welcome to come to some or all of the classes. The first few beginner classes are important to get started. Beginning sewing classes are for those who have little or no experience in sewing. We will learn the basics of the sewing machine, purchasing the correct fabric and notions, cutting out the pattern and constructing the garment. As the sewer gains some experience they will learn skills such as putting in a zipper, putting in a sleeve, gathering, waistbands and facings. Classes will be divided according to sewing abilities.
