I am working on putting together a group of high schoolers to read and discuss some of the classics of literature next year. One of the best ways to engage high schoolers in learning is to get them talking with each other about what they are reading. I have been a Classical Conversations tutor for the last four years and I have seen the value of this in grounding students in the truth, growing in understanding of themselves and others, and the difference knowing the Lord makes in our broken world. Our CC class will not continue next year, but I would like my daughter to have another year of talking about great ideas. We will be meeting Wednesday mornings 9 to 11 AM, starting in September.
