HSG families,
Lots of GOOD NEWS to share!

After a false start to the beginning of the year, I believe I've found a helper! Please welcome my 15 year old son, Ryan, as our new HSG Junior Administrator. He will be helping with event coordination, Facebook and blog posts, and other administrative tasks.

One of Ryan's first tasks was to pair up those of you participating in the HSG Secret Mama Pals exchange. If you completed your questionnaire, you should have received an HSG email earlier today. His help meant I could participate too! 

HSG Homeschool Movie Day 2015 ~ DisneyNature's Monkey Kingdom was announced today! We have a small window of time to take advantage of group discount pricing so DON'T DELAY!

Encouragement for HSG Mamas

HS Mamas,
This is my 10th year of homeschooling and one thing I've discovered is that I'm not the only homeschool mama to hit a slump when January or February rolls around. Year after year, I hear the same things from my homeschool mama friends. Some of you may feel like quitting midway through the school year and just need a push of encouragement to get you through. Others may be frustrated that their lessons plans look more like scratch paper. And of course there are those of us that are simply ready for the sunshine again.

I found a solution.

After hearing about this secret pals idea a little too late to join in, I thought maybe there'd be a few of you that might be interested. Here's the scoop:

HSG Secret Mama Pals
What it is
Once a month (or more often if the mood strikes you) you will send out an encouraging note, an inspiring Word, or a small gift to your Secret Mama Pal. *This is meant to be a blessing not a burden. Please don't let tight finances keep you from giving and receiving this encouragement! Prayerfully consider your participation and be creative :)

Make sure to be detailed so your Secret Mama Pal has a clear picture of who you are and what you like! This will run through June, when you'll reveal yourself :)
Optional: For those of you on Instagram and/or Facebook, please post a picture when you receive a gift and use the hashtag #HSGmama.
