Living Lessons: Learning from Everyday Life and the Occasional Field Trip

Wondering how to get the most out of your homeschooling experience? Lessons don't have to begin and end sitting around the kitchen table. Thankfully, homeschooling is a lifestyle that allows for learning opportunities wherever you go. Learn to expand your classroom to the world around you! Plus, you'll also learn how to plan a field trip from start to finish.
Tika Weeks, of The HS Gathering of Southern Oregon, homeschools her 2 boys and has taught classes and workshops to children and adults for over 20 years. From arts and crafts, to science and history, Tika is always looking for ways to combine subjects and take learning outside of the box and walls of her home.

California Theater Center Proudly Presents: Jack and the Beanstalk
Follow the lively adventures of young Jack as he acquires the magic beans in trade for his beloved cow and encounters the evil giant and his wife at the top of the beanstalk. Using his wits and ingenuity, Jack retrieves not only the townspeople’s gold but also the precious goose which lays golden eggs! Suggested for grades K-5, but personal experience says that this performance will likely appeal... to middle school students also.

Time: 11:30 am* (please arrive 30 mins early)
Cost: $4.50 for TEACH* members (others may join us for $5.00/person) This is a 40-50% savings off of their regular advance ticket price of $8.75! TICKETS AT THE DOOR ARE $10!

Doorposts' Pam Forster to speak at Sept TEACH mtg
Many of you are familiar with Doorposts' products and Bible studies (If/Then charts, For Instructions in Righteousness, etc). The TEACH homeschool group of Grants Pass invites you to join them Sept 5th at 7 pm for their first meeting of the year. Here are the details:
