Rooster Crow Weekend 6/28-30

The 60th Annual Rogue River Rooster Crow Weekend starts this Friday!

Since 1953, Rogue River has held the National Rooster Crow Championship the last Saturday in June. This community event has grown into a 2-day event: Rooster Crow Weekend! This is an annual, family oriented event, so bring the whole family and enjoy the weekend's events and the scenic Rogue River area.

Saturday morning starts with the “Fun Run & Walk” at 8:00am at Rogue River Beck Field (visit www.sorunners.org
for more information or download the 2013 Rooster Crow Run Application
).

Next up is the "Rooster Crow Parade" at 10:00am on Main Street downtown Rogue River (download the 2013 Parade Application
if you'd like to be in the parade). This parade is a perennial favorite!

After the parade, there is a whirlwind of activities including “Art in the Plaza,” arts and crafts, food booths, the “Rooster’s Roundup” kids play area, and of course the 60th Annual National Rooster Crow Contest and Human Crow Contest. After visiting the winners circle, head over to the Woodville Museum Gazebo for a free concert that afternoon.

Sunday from 8am-3pm is the 13th annual Rooster Crow Car Show—don't miss it!

Both days, be sure to visit our many vendor food and products booths in the Umpqua Bank Parking lot and Rooster Crow Arena area.
