Performing Arts classes for Teens - In this 6-week class, participants will discover how to choose and present a monologue. Students will also explore how to develop a scene with others while learning techniques of acting to advance their abilities within that scene. Taught by David Salsa of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, this workshop will give students a better understanding of how to prepare themselves for the stage. Ages 12-19. This will be a six-week workshop on basic acting that includes vocal work, theatre games, how to relate to other actors in a scene and performing skills. The class will culminate in the performance of a well-loved folktale.
